EPUAP 2024 in Lausanne
Join us in the scenic city of Lausanne, Switzerland, as we participate in the annual EPUAP conference from September 25th to 27th. This year’s theme, “Pressure Ulcers – The Clock is Ticking!”, highlights the urgency of addressing the significant challenges facing healthcare systems.
At the EPUAP conference, attendees unite to explore a wealth of information, share the latest research discoveries, and exchange valuable experiences focused on the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers.
Our participation in the conference is crucial for networking and strengthening relationships with researchers, potential partners, and customers. Equally important is staying updated on the latest trends and research in the pressure ulcer/injury field by participating in workshops and discussions.
Showcasing Our Latest Research and Innovations
As a proud partner of EPUAP, we invite you to visit our booth. Here, you will have the opportunity for meaningful discussions about our ongoing research and the significance of our findings in advancing innovative medical equipment for pressure ulcer prevention.
We are excited to present our latest innovations, highlighting their impact on improving patient care and health economics.
Additionally, we will hold a workshop at our booth on the topic “Positioning with Air Mattresses.” The purpose of this workshop is to increase knowledge on how to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers in a seated position. Attendees can expect to gain an enhanced understanding of how Pulsation™ and a two-part mattress can be used as aids to prevent pressure ulcers compared to other market alternatives.
About the workshop
The workshop will focus on how to reduce pressure ulcers/injuries due to shear forces when using dynamic air mattresses. Research shows that hospital patients spend about 30% of their day fully seated. Shear occur such as when the backrest of a bed is raised and/or the patient begins to slide.
The complex interaction between shear stress and strain significantly contributes to tissue damage, leading to PU’s/PI’s, understanding the role of shear stress and deformation during repositioning is essential in preventing these conditions.
You can read more about the conference and event schedule on the EPUAP official website.
Hope to see you in Lausanne!
