conversation with Rebecca Hallin, Production Representative at Care of Sweden

Rebecca has a role that spans over several parts of the operations at Care of Sweden, from production to warehouse and logistics. With a background in healthcare and experience from several departments within the company, she has gained a broad understanding of both the products and the work behind them. In our conversation, she shares insights about the variety in her everyday work, the importance of a strong team and how small initiatives can bring extra joy to the workplace.

Knowing why the work matters

For Rebecca, the meaning in her work is closely connected to her background. As a trained assistant nurse, she has seen firsthand how important supportive equipment can be in healthcare. That knowledge adds another dimension to her work. Being part of the chain that ensures products are manufactured, handled, and delivered to those who need them creates a strong sense of purpose in everyday life.

At the same time, no workdays are the same. Because Rebecca works across production, warehouse and logistics, her tasks can vary depending on what is needed during the day.

“One day is never the same as the next. I arrive at work and then we’ll see where I’ll end up during the day.”

This variety is something she appreciates and finds both stimulating and rewarding. At the same time, it requires flexibility and close collaboration with colleagues across different parts of the organization.

A journey through several departments

During her time at Care of Sweden, Rebecca has worked in several departments. She started in CuroCell and then later moved to the foam department. Over time she also took on greater responsibility, first becoming a department supervisor and then later a Production Leader. She especially speaks about how much that can be achieved when the team works closely together.

“Sometimes it is almost like we can perform magic, a good team can achieve a lot.”

Even though the organization has evolved over time, the experience from her different roles has given her a broad skill set and a deep understanding of the business.

Community and joy in everyday work

For Rebecca, the work environment and sense of community are just as important as the tasks themselves. With a smile, she talks about some of the initiatives she has helped start to bring a little extra joy to everyday work. For example, she and a colleague introduced what they called “mandatory dance band Fridays”, something that quickly spread and led to many laughs. There were also themed Fridays where colleagues could dress up or do something fun together. One Easter, Rebecca and her grandmother even made a traditional Easter witch costume that the whole department wore. Small things perhaps, but moments that make the workday more enjoyable and strengthen the sense of community.

Motivation in the team and the work

What motivates Rebecca most in her everyday work is both the job itself and the people around her. Knowing where the products are going and the difference they make gives the work a clear purpose. At the same time, her colleagues are an important part of that motivation. When people help and support one another, the workday becomes both easier and more enjoyable. With her experience, dedication, and contribution to both the work and the workplace spirit, Rebecca is an important part of everyday life at Care of Sweden, where every effort contributes to the bigger picture.
