Frequently Asked Questions

What material is used for the cells?

These type of cells are more resistant towards puncture, wear and tear compared to TPU cells (used in CX).

How does the autonomous function in CuroCell® iA Automatic work?

Through an AI-controlled algorithm, the control unit adjusts the pressure in the air cells individually based on the patient’s height, weight, and position, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. If the patient changes position in bed, the system detects this and autonomously adjusts the settings according to the new position. Unlike traditional automatic systems, which apply a predetermined air pressure, CuroCell iA creates individual settings that provide complete individual pressure relief for each individual.

What is a “modular system”?

The control units (CuroCell iA Automatic and CuroCell iA Manual) are compatible with all support surfaces within the CuroCell iA platform.
