Care of Swedens enviromental audit gains approved
"Proof that we live up to the standard"
It is now clear that Care of Sweden receives continued trust and renewed certification in accordance with the requirements of the environmental management system ISO 14001. As a medical technology company, we consider it fundamental to have a good structure and a good management system in order to develop solutions for healthcare.
The certification process is, above all, a good tool to use when developing our own internal processes, making it easier to detect any deviations and thus discover opportunities for improvement.
– We have already done good environmental work before and we see the continued certification as a confirmation that we live up to the standard. We are very satisfied with the work inside the house, therefore the focus will henceforth be on reducing the environmental impact together with our external customers and suppliers, says Susanne Svensson, environmental and quality manager.
In June 2019 an auditor from Interek was on-site in Tranemo to review our routines and quality systems and we received good feedback in the final report. We quote:
"Care of Sweden has a well-established environmental management system that is characterized by structure and commitment from both management and employees. The general view is that you have good knowledge of both the products and the environmental impact of the products. Environmental impacting activities that are carried out on-site are perceived to be controlled and carried out under controlled forms.
Nowadays, the focus is more on the indirect environmental impact of the business, which takes place upstream and downstream in Tranemo. This is just the right focus and there is great potential to contribute to reducing the environmental impact of both customers and suppliers. "
The next environmental audit of Care of Sweden will be completed in a year.
